The Monomyth Movement is a women’s formalwear collection based on the stages of the Hero’s Journey. I used piecing to show the growth and improvement that is integral to its path. It is designed for women of all ages who love expressive clothing with visual texture and want to show off their best selves. Micro-trends and clothes not being made to outlast the short length of those trends are both connected sustainability issues related to consumption in the fashion industry. I used high-quality fabrics and proper construction while not chasing trends to create a more sustainable collection.
